Leaving Lake Tekapo, you travel south to the small town of Twizel before continuing through Arrowtown-the historical gold panning followed by reaching the historic Central Otago region to the Lake Wakatipu and the ‘Alpine Resort’ of Queenstown. Enjoy jetboating ride with Shotover Jet. It's an amazing ride, as the Shotover Canyon walls tower over you, and your driver skillfully whips the boat past rocky outcrops, and skims around crags and boulders. The best views in the region are found here in Skyline Gondola, spread out in a spectacular 220 degree panorama, with breathtaking views of Coronet Peak , The Remarkables mountain range and across Lake Wakatipu to Cecil and Walter Peaks . International air travel is not included in any of the itinerary, luggage & travel insurance, optional sightseeing.
