Your vacation to the Victoria State of Australia begins with a pleasant flight from Singapore to Melbourne. Enjoy the friendly and hospitable in-flight service offered by the various airlines between both countries.
Day02 Melbourne City Tour (L)
‘Good Day!’, and welcome Melbourne! On arrival, you will be transferred to the city for your city tour which includes Fitzroy Garden, Royal Exhibition Building, Federation Square, Town Hall & the Parliament. Thereafter, the rest of the day will be free at leisure. You may wish to hope on the city tram around, and proceed to the famous Victoria Market for some shopping.
Day03 Great Ocean Road / Twelve Apostle Point / Apollo Bay (B,L,D)
Today, you will begin your journey to the Great Ocean Road, which is made up of 243 km stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool . The road was constructed to provide work for returning soldiers and dedicated as a Memorial to those killed in the First World War , and was one of Australia's great scenic coastline drives. The Great Ocean Road was built by 3000 returned servicemen (or "Diggers") as a war memorial for fellow servicemen who had been killed in the First World War. You will have the chance to stop at the world’s famous coastal line sight of Twelve Apostle Point, Apollo Bay, and Loch Ard George. You may also opt to have a scenic helicopter ride in the region for the overview of the Great Ocean Road.
Day04 Yarra Valley / Winery / Puffing Billy Classic Train Ride (B,L)
This morning, visit t he Yarra Valley wine area, which is a long established cooler climate region with excellent Pinot Noirs , Chardonnays and Sparkling Wine being made. It is the home to many good quality wineries as well as the popular Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail . Next, proceed to the Dandenong region and visit the home of the Puffing Billy as well as experience the homely ride on the train. The Puffing Billy Railway is the sole survivor of four experimental lines used to develop rural areas in the early 1900's, and it has thus transformed into an enjoyable ride through the mountain, scenery and panoramic views which pass by your carriage window. You may stop over for a few pleasant hours bushwalking, swimming or just relaxing in the peaceful country setting. The terminus of the line at Gembrook is a delightful country town with much to offer the visitor.
Day05 Melbourne Free day (B)
Today is your free day in Melbourne, and there are plenty to offer while your stay in Gold Coast. A visit around the city by its gorgeous tram ride, or a day trip to the Ballarat – Sovereign Hill is also a good option!
Day06 Melbourne / Singapore (B)
Bid farewell to the romantic city of Melbourne and be transferred to Melbourne International Airport for your return flight to Singapore. We hope you would have an enjoyable Melbourne romantic trip with New Shan Travel.
